Big plans

I am a woman with big plans.  I always have a lot of thoughts and ideas, but I'm not always so great at the follow through.  I mean, how many of us have had that treadmill to help us lose weight that somehow mysteriously turns into a very expensive sweater rack. I've started blogs in the past but then end up abandoning it and it ends up having more dust bunnies than you find under a bachelors bed.

I am a single mother, have been since 2008.  I have two wonderful boys.  Superhero is nine, and he's in the third grade and Bibbit is six and in the first grade.  In the fall of 2010 I decided that it was time for me to do something for myself and I enrolled in a local community college.  It was the first time I'd been in school since graduating high school in 2001.  It was daunting, overwhelming, and extremely satisfying.  Since I work part time as a baggage handler extraordinaire at Denver International Airport, and I actually wanted to still be able to participate in the lives of my children, I began school with only two accelerated courses.  I took English Composition and Introduction to Literature.  Much to my surprise and happiness I passed both the classes with A's earning me my first 4.0 GPA since MC Hammer was "too legit to quit". I am now enrolled in three classes and hoping to continue the success.

What comes next is a guide for you through my Misadventures in Mommyville.  My ups and downs and the ins and outs of my life. And the hope that this is not another sweater rack. :)
